I have over 10 years experience in the self catering cottage industry. I ran a successful cleaning business called Diamond Cleaning from the back of that with our extensive local knowledge Adam I then set up Lakeland Retreats.

Lakeland Retreats is a family run business based in the heart of Ambleside. We provide holiday makers with a choice of hand picked self catering properties from which to enjoy the beautiful Lake District.
We pride ourselves in having a personal approach to ensure we build strong relationships with our guests and owners. We are very passionate about what we do and are excited about what the future holds. We are always building on our portfolio of high quality cottages which we will manage personally.
Extremely passionate about our local area
Ambleside has always been our home and our children have loved growing up here. Being extremely passionate about our local area we will do everything to ensure our guests have a great holiday.
Our main prerogative is to ensure that all our retreats are managed and maintained to a high standard, from small maintenance jobs to large refurbishments. Michelle and I keep on top of the day to day running of the business to ensure we keep our services running at a high spec.

Adam - Director
I have many years experience working for a large holiday letting agent as a Maintenance man, and also working alongside Michelle’s cleaning company. From that I went self employed maintaining properties before we merged and set up Lakeland Retreats.
Tracy - Office Manager
I’m Lakeland Retreats Office Manager. I have over 25 years of hospitality experience and enjoy being organised, both essential in this very busy environment. I deal with all your enquiries and bookings. My husband and I love going fell walking if you need any advice on the local area.
Paul - Maintenance Supervisor
I’m the maintenance supervisor. My past experience is running an award winning hotel in Ambleside, as well as working for the local Fire Service, so I have a lot of local knowledge and vast experience of the tourism industry. Along with Adam and our team, we ensure the retreats are maintained to a high standard.
