Guests at Wansfell have use of the terrace and share in half a mile of private lake frontage, perfect for enjoying a picnic at the water’s edge whilst taking in the glorious views of Windermere and her surrounding fell range. The private jetty is available for those wishing to launch a dinghy, canoe or kayak (with prior arrangement) and the shallow bay is safe for taking a quick dip, paddle boarding and perfect for those more adventurous wild swimmers amongst you.

Stunning location. The Pullwood Bay manor house itself is beautiful and Wansfell as an apartment is very tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. The kitchen and bedrooms in particular were are favorites. Would also like to mention the extensive selection of board games stacked away in the apartment that came in extremely handy especially with the children. We look forward to coming back again.

Loved it. Great living room, very comfy beds. Very light with amazing views. 3 bathrooms all with very good showers was a bonus. being so near the lake. the pontoon.

This is top quality accommodation in a paradise location overlooking the Lake and in beautiful grounds with great walks from the door. The Spacious living area was great for our party of 6 and with super views. Large bedrooms all en-suite was perfect. Fixtures and fittings all high quality. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay as always, Wansfell is the most beautiful apartment with in my opinion the best ever changing view of Windermere! We have loved our two weeks summer break and as at Easter we didn't want it to come to an end. 50 plus years our ever growing family have been visiting Pullwood Bay (Huyton Hill) and love it. Great for Sailing, Kayaking, Swimming, relaxing, exploring and as a family of 18 including a pooch, over 4 of the properties, playing cricket on the big lawns! Looking forward to our next stay!

Our 2nd stay at Wansfell and our 5th visit to Pullwood Bay apartments. We love the whole experience of holidaying on this wonderful estate ,Wansfell is beautifully decorated, the beds are so comfortable and the quality welcome pack very much appreciated . The staff at Lakeland Retreats are friendly and helpful. We will be coming back to enjoy this beautiful apartment in its wonderful surroundings.

Just returned from a week long stay at Wansfell with the family. We had a fabulous stay in this outstanding apartment. It is beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean, the surprise welcome hamper was very well received too! The views are wonderful and we made full use of the gardens and lake access. There is ample parking at the front of the house and great walks from the door. We didn't want to come home! We will definitely book again and would thoroughly recommend both the apartment and Pullwood Bay itself.

We've had a wonderful week staying in Wansfell. It's such a beautiful setting and lovely to be able to swim in the lake / relax on the terrace after a day out in the mountains.The apartment is furnished very tastefully and to a high specification with all the equipment you need. Really quick to get to ambleside for all the essentials and we enjoyed days out in the Langdale valleys, to Easedale tarn, up Great Gable, canoeing on the lake and hanging out by the river in Skelwith Bridge.

This was our 3rd stay at Pullwood Bay, this time in Wansfell, previously we have had Fairfield and Skiddaw, both excellent. What a fabulous apartment, beautiful decor, fantastically well equipped, the only fault we could find was no ice bucket for the Champagne we always bring for our 1st evening to get the holiday off to a brilliant start! Very comfortable beds, brilliant showers (not always the case in holiday lets) and helpful, friendly staff there to welcome us on arrival.The grounds are amazing with direct access to the lake for swimming and kayaking, cycle paths for biking, wildlife in abundance and the Drunken Duck just up the road, although sadly not open yet due to Covid but well worth a visit when you can. Lakeland Retreats have been friendly, helpful and professional throughout and are definitely a letting company I would use again.
