Cosy, Comfortable Cottage In The Heart Of Popular Windermere

Slate Cottage is an ideal choice for those looking to immerse themselves in the absolute heart of village life and whilst doing so, enjoy all that this popular part of the Lakes has to offer. Next to The Smallest Pub in the Lake District and The Crafty Bar, winner of the Best Pub in England, locations don’t come more convenient than this.

This pretty, mid-terraced cottage is stylishly presented with an open plan layout and character features of slate flooring, pitch pine doors and that all-important wood burning stove, perfect for a romantic break whatever time of year you plan to visit. With two cosy Kingsize bedrooms and a striking, modern shower room, the cottage is ideal for two couples holidaying together and for added comfort, the bedrooms are fitted with acoustic glass with triple glazing throughout the ground floor.

At night, Windermere takes on a rather cosmopolitan feel with discreet lighting and alfresco drinking and dining experiences, many of the cafés and bars offering outdoor heating throughout the year.

Walks from the door are plentiful; from a gentle stroll to the first of Alfred Wainwright’s inspirational walks up Orrest Head to the more challenging slopes of Wansfell, hikers of all ages and abilities are well catered for. The lakeshore at Bowness Bay is a mere 20-minute stroll away where you’ll find a host of waterborne activities including rowing and motorboat hire and the famous Windermere Lake Cruises.

A Host Of Wonderful Walking Is On Hand Right From The Doorstep
