Rydal is a modern, perfectly placed apartment for a couple wanting to explore Ambleside and the surrounding villages. Sitting at the base of the Kirkstone Pass it offers a quick escape over one of Lakeland’s many beautiful mountain roads. At the pass’ highest point you’ll find the Kirkstone Pass Inn where you can park up and admire the views all the way down to Windermere. From the inn, there’s also the option to hike up Red Screes for those wanting to earn their treats at the pub.
Closer to home, Ambleside is a great location for a break in The Lakes. Just 5 minutes from the doorstep, you can walk up to be alone in remote fields, woods, and fells. Or, potter down to be amongst the bustle of the village where you’ll find an array of cafes, restaurants, and pubs for a perfect weekend away.
The apartment is set within the Kirkstone Foot development just a short walk from the village.
Rydal is a first-floor apartment, accessed from outside steps that lead to a shared porch area. On entering the property there is an open-plan living/dining room with pleasant views and comfy sofas to rest on after the fells. The galley kitchen is compact but well equipped for dining in. Rydal has a double bedroom, a modern en suite, and a large walk-in shower, WC and basin.
Outside there is a large parking area to the rear of the property.

The location at the edge of Ambleside was perfect for us. We enjoyed the view across the valley. The flat was small with little storage space but worked okay for us.
The Rydal apartment is a great base – comfortable and well equipped and in an ideal location. Some lovely walks from the doorstep, as well as being a short stroll downhill to everything that Ambleside has to offer. We hope to come back!
A very nice clean neat and tidy wee apartment. We loved staying there and it is a 5 minute walk into town and also perfect to walk from to hike the fells. It is up a steep hill and also a steep set of steps, so is not suitable if your physically impaired, but otherwise highly recommended.
