We had such an incredible time here. It was an international gathering with family coming in from the US to spend time together and with our new-born (on her first holiday!). We would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much.
What an amazing house – we have had a fantastic week here, and for the first time on holiday we chose to stay in rather than going out on many evenings, because we loved being in the beautiful kitchen so much! The location is so perfect for exploring the area and we found all of the information in the folder very useful. We absolutely loved the gin too – thank you!
Oakburn is a beautiful house in an amazing location and you even provided wonderful weather for us! We can recommend Cafe Italia in Windermere. A perfect getaway holiday, thank you for making it possible. We have made lovely memories.
Super house, loved it – so much space! Children especially liked the games room downstairs. Lovely view. Perfect base to explore the lakes on our first visit up here. Thank you – the Trowbridges.

What a wonderful few days in a fabulous house. It has so many attractions and excellent facilities such as the games room in which we had an excellent evening having a pool competition. Christine and Ian are super hosts and we have loved the Lakes for many years. Look forward to coming again. Joyce and Andrew
A lovely week – boat trips, walks and beautiful places to visit and a warm welcoming house to come home to. What a treat! Even the rain couldn’t spoil our stay. We all went home feeling refreshed and more ‘normal’ after a strange year. Thank you! Chris, Elaine, Tom, Carole and Steve xx
We absolutely loved our stay at Oakburn. The location was brilliant and the house was above and beyond expectations. It was very comfortable and felt like home. I cooked with herbs from the herb garden outside and all enjoyed cooking toast using the AGA stove very much. The snug was a highlight room as it had a fireplace and was so cute and cosy. We woke up the morning with a beautiful view of the lake and we walked to School Knott and Orrest Head from the doorstep. We loved it and will hopefully be back again.
