Respond to Number One, Chapel Stile

  • Lee says:

The house was lovely, well equipped abs close to the shop, cafe and pub. The house has everything as advertised. It was brilliant for walking to places like Grasmere, Slater’s bridge, Cathedral caves and lots of other lovely walks. It is within short driving distances of Ambleside, Brockhole, and Bowness for more active activities. A lovely house and village to be based in.

We’ve had an enjoyable 2 weeks. The house is an amazing base, so well equipped. The kitchen items are of great quality and furniture so comfortable. We enjoyed walks from the house to Chesters Café, Skelwith Bridge and to the Old Dungeon Gill.

  • Chris says:

We really enjoyed our week stay as a family at the cottage. It was very clean, equipped with a nice kitchen, bathroom and lounge, as well as lots of room to wash and dry our wet weather gear. The cottage location was perfect – set overlooking the hills, along a quiet road, with walks, local shop and pub all in walking distance. In the surrounding area (Ambleside, Windermere etc) there was plenty to do both on good and bad weather days. We found it a perfect base to explore beautiful Lakeland and a very reasonable holiday home.

  • Gemma says:

Great week, out walking every day whatever the weather (much easier when you know you’re returning to a warm, well equipped home-from-home). We were even treated to a sprinkling of snow.

  • Hazel says:

  • Andrew says:

Cosy and very well-equipped. Great location, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Chapel Stile. Perfect base for walks along the river towards Elterwater and in the other direction towards Great Langdale. Recommended!
