Lanty Slee, Ambleside
Taking its name from the notorious local farmer and quarryman-turned smuggler, ‘Lancelot’ Lanty Slee, this pretty Lakeland cottage sits in one of the oldest parts of Ambleside just on North Road. Offering a convenient and comfortable retreat, whatever time of year you choose to visit the Lakes.
Visitors have flocked to the village since Victorian times to take in the fresh lakeland air and beauty of the surrounding fells and calm waters of Windermere that still entice holidaymakers to this day. Well equipped for the large crowds that visit throughout the year, Ambleside provides an assorted array of everyday shopping for self-catering guests, interesting galleries, cafes and bars as well as a wealth of attractions and activities for all the family. Tennis courts, bowling green and pitch and put are just some of the outdoor facilities available whilst an indoor climbing wall and cave system is on hand when the rather isn’t quite so kind.
Please note: the property is really a sleeps 5/6 due to the size and layout of the third bedroom.
