  • Philip says:

This is a tastefully furnished and superbly equipped cottage in a prime location in the heart of Ambleside. It comfortably sleeps 6 and has acres of space to move around in. Well worth a stay!”

  • Vic Bellas says:

Just back from a wonderful weeks holiday at How Bank. The house had everything you could imagine you would need…..and more!
Ambleside, along with everywhere else within the Lake District was overflowing with people! However How Bank gave us that feeling of seclusion. Located just behind the main streets, it was a peaceful position next to the Stockghyll waterfalls. The garden was used to the max, with a number of alfresco meals on the patio and morning coffees on the lawn to maximise the early sun.
Inside, the kitchen had everything, the lounge was relaxing, the games room kept the kids occupied and the bedrooms gave us good nights sleeps following days on the fells.
Don’t often leave reviews, but it would be wrong not to sing the praises of How Bank, and we can only hope to get this booked next time we holiday in the Lakes.

  • Chandni says:

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Very nice touches around the house to appeal to all ages and tastes – books, games, well stocked kitchen. Great outdoor space too. Would definitely visit again. Very clean as well and good COVID precautions as well.

  • Colin says:

Secluded property in its own well kept mature garden; beside Stock Ghyll Beck. The house is beautifully appointed throughout. There are delightful well thought out features at every turn. Parking in the garden for three cars comfortably.
