a superb example of a traditional lakeland stone cottage

1 Cote How is a traditional, Lakeland cottage, semi detached and blessed with off road parking and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy when our typical Lakeland weather will allow.

Enter into the farmhouse breakfast kitchen/diner, well kitted out with all you’ll need for truly self catering, through to a traditional snug with electric stove and TV and beyond to the more modern lounge with lots of windows allowing for plenty of light and a second TV providing more flexibility for you and your party, particularly if you have children with you. There’s a handy shower room on the ground floor too with cubicle, handbasin and WC.

The large bedrooms on the first floor comprise a glorious master kingsize with free standing bath to its en-suite, a smaller double and further kingsize room which both share in the modern, large shower room.

A really lovely cottage in the best possible location. Charming and comfortable cottage which comfortably accommodated 6 adults. Only a few minutes walk to Rydal Lake where we watched the sun go down. Fabulous walks in literally every direction. Tiny little gripe with the skylight in the main bedroom that would benefit from a blind. We really loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Beautiful Lakeland home within short drive or beautiful walk to both Ambleside and Grasmere. Pub 1 min walk away. Superb location to enjoy lots of fabulous walks in the lakes. Very clean, comfortable and warm house.

“Fantastic location and a really nice three bed house for the family. Very secluded yet a five min walk to a pub, tip straight out onto some good walking paths and Ambleside/ Grasmere just a short distance away. Great place for a great family get a way ”

  • Aaron says:

“Such a wonderful cottage in an excellent location. It’s conveniently located in the heart of The Lakes with Ambleside & Grasmere being only a few minutes drive away. Every room is spacious and comfortable. There’s a pleasant pub only 2 minutes walk away. Space for 2 vehicles. Garden is technically secure but a dog could escape if they really tried. Highly recommend this cottage to anyone :)”

  • Olga says:
