Perfectly placed within a couple of minutes’ walk from the heart of vibrant Ambleside, Amble Cottage is an ideal base for those visitors who prefer the ease and convenience of a village centre location. Ambleside is blessed with an excellent variety of mini-markets, butchers and bakers for the self-catering visitor, intertwined with award-winning restaurants, cafes, galleries and outdoor retailers in case you get caught in a shower or two.

Amble Cottage is perfect for a Spring or Summer break; an abundance of walks and cycle routes for all ages and abilities can be enjoyed straight from the door. Autumn sees Lakeland bathed in a collage of red and gold whilst the village twinkles throughout November and December once the festive lights are switched on during the annual Lantern procession, always a grand and popular event in the community calendar.

A traditional, stone-faced Lakeland cottage, enter straight into the lounge room here at Amble Cottage where you’re greeted by a statement, exposed stone wall, the backdrop for a warming gas effect stove and slate flagged floors. The cream dining kitchen to the rear is well fitted and provides direct access to the enclosed courtyard to the rear.

Stairs between two rooms lead up to the first floor where you’ll find two bedrooms, both with carpeted floors, one double and one twin. The house bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC sits on the second floor along with a third, single bedroom which can be used if your teenagers don’t wish to share the twin room below. Please note: maximum of 4 guests.

A small, enclosed courtyard to the rear has furniture provided and parking is by way of permits – one for use on Millans Park, the other for use on the nearby Council car park which can also be used on several other car parks throughout South Lakeland.
