Just strides away are the award winning Zefferelli’s cinema and restaurant, Rothay Park (with its superb playground facilities), and a host of manageable walks, right from the door.

Pet friendly, the cottage is set out over three floors and offers flexible accommodation for 4 in a choice of three bedrooms, one double and one king on the first floor and a spacious twin at the top of the house, all sharing in a superb and luxurious wet room – do let us know which bedrooms you’d like us to make up for your arrival.

There’s a comfortable lounge to the front of the cottage with a spacious dining room off the neat kitchen to the rear, well stocked with all you’ll need for a self-catering break.

An enclosed courtyard to the rear is the perfect spot for an ‘al fresco’ breakfast, lunch, or even an aperitif before dinner in one of many superb restaurants that Ambleside has to offer.

Please note:

  • Parking for one car by way of permit (provided upon arrival) on Vicarage Road or Millans Park.
  • The property sleeps a maximum of 4 persons – please confirm your choice of bedrooms at the time of booking.

Ground Floor:

  • The property has gas central heating throughout with Lakeland tiles through the kitchen and dining room and carpet in the living room
  • Kitchen: Traditional kitchen units incorporating electric oven and gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. Washer/drier and small freezer in the outhouse.
  • Dining Room: With table and comfortable seating for four
  • Lounge: With TV/DVD, comfortable sofas around a decorative open fire place (non working).

    This property is well located in central Ambleside where there are fabulous shops and restaurants. There is also a lovely park on the doorstep. The property has a good bathroom, but be warned the kitchen is very small.

    Myself and a work colleague had the pleasure to stay here for 8nights while we were working on a project locally.. The fact that the property had two parking permits was an immense plus and it was spotlessly clean. It had a very warm and cosy feel and all we needed in the kitchen etc was there. Very handy for the local shops and bars.. Will definitely book again when either working or visiting the area..

    An absolutely superb cottage, right in the heart of Ambleside! Yet still conveniently tucked away in a private, safe and peaceful area. My father is from Ambleside so his “cottage expectations” are high to say the least but this cottage far exceeded any of our expectations, it was the quintessential perfect English cottage for our 10 day holiday! It was filled with character, thoughtful touches from the patterned curtains, wide variety of books and board games in the living room, array of tourist brochures/ pamphlets, to the fantastically fully equip kitchen (which has an amazing oven)! It has a great layout, clean and quite environment, comfortable beds, the check in and check out process was super easy for Airbnb first-timers like ourselves, the team who manage the property were great, friendly, easy to communicate with and always on hand to help. We would absolutely recommend staying here and very much look forward to our next stay! ***HIGHLY RECOMMEND***”

    “A spacious and homely cottage in the heart of Ambleside. Superb location for access to all the village has to offer, and to be able to walk from the door to some fabulous countryside. Parking easy with permit and little courtyard garden a bonus. Great communications prior/during stay, thoughtful amenities provided like towels/washing machine, great new moderined bathroom. Great to be able to take a small dog as this is a wonderful location to have them with you. Overall a great location and space made it a superb week in Ambleside. Thanks!

    Fantastic location and true Lakeland experience. Ambleside is an amazing town with loads of great places to eat. And then there is the Lake District, we’ve fallen in love with the place

    We had great holidays in This cottage, well equiped great location and really comfy. We felt at home from the first day. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Nice walks and quite central in the Lake District. We would definitely come back. Thank you !

    This was a wonderful location. Right in the center of Ambleside, but off the main loop and raised from the street with lovely views of the surroundings. A stone’s throw from all shops, the park/recreation grounds, and of course the start of many great walks. The owner lives next door and was attentive but not intrusive. There was always parking available out front and with the resident’s pass provided, it was not an issue at all. The beds were really comfortable. We would happily stay again! Only thing is that the property is rented through a rental company called Lakeland Retreats, which I didn’t realise when I first booked it through here. It meant I didn’t get the exact dates I had searched for on Airbnb (more traditional changeover day options) but they were great about it, and the check in process and all communication was very smooth and pleasant. I would definitely use the company again.

    We had a lovely stay – 2 adults a toddler a baby and a dog. There are 3 floors in the cottage and a small garden so plenty of space. Lovely views from the top floor over Ambleside. A few supplies were provided which was nice and there is a washer dryer in the outhouse which was useful. Had a very enjoyable stay.

    A wonderful air b n b experience. Lovely, cosy cottage with a terrific location in Ambleside. Everything you could want on your doorstep – coffee house with juice bar, bakery, supermarkets plus a beautiful village with an abundance of cafes and restaurants.

    The owner popped around and was so kind and offered to help with anything. The house was perfect for our small family holiday.

    Lovely well cared for property with good vantage point centrally in Ambleside and can sit outside front and rear.

    A cosy base from which to explore all the Lake District has to offer. Also plenty of good restaurants on your door step for eating out.

    Overall a very enjoyable break.

    Great location, clean and with everything we needed. Good communication and directions before we arrived.

    The owners live next door and popped in to see if everything was ok which was a nice touch.

    Some much appreciated touches like… comfy beds (without ends, great for tall people!), quality linen + towels and clean sponges/clothes/tea towels & washing up liquid in kitchen.

    The wifi didn’t work while we were there but it didn’t affect our stay as we had phone reception.

    Perfect for a family of 4 and we hope to stay again.

    Lovely few days away in the lakes, location was perfect for getting around Ambleside and the local area, and you can easily walk into the hills straight from the house.

    Wonderful stay for a family of 4 with our small dog in central Ambleside.

    We couldn’t get over how great the location was with everything we could want a stones throw away, from the park and play area to the cafes and town centre.

    On street parking just outside the house was no problem and late night key collection worked very well.

    Lovely house with everything we needed for a long weekend. Will definitely be looking to stay again next time we’re in Ambleside.
